Homeschooling Legal Defense Fund
Homeschool Legal Defence Association is a nonprofit advocacy organization established to defend and advance the constitutional right of parents to direct the education of their children and to protect family freedoms. Through annual memberships, HSLDA is thousands of families united in service together, providing a strong voice when and where needed. Ryan’s Well
Ryan was a six year old boy who heard his teacher talking about the great need for water in Africa. He set to work doing household chores to raise the $70 needed to provide one well, and his dedication to date has brought 266 wells in 12 countries serving 435,343 people. The Foundation's Mission The Ryan’s Well Foundation inspires, motivates, and empowers children and adults to share Ryan’s vision of a world where everyone has clean water. With partners in developing countries, this foundation works to provide clean water and bring related health services to water-poor people in developing countries. It also educates and advocates for widespread participation in its objectives, and inspires present and future leaders to realize their own global visions. A strategic advantage to the Ryan’s Well Foundation is that Ryan and Ryan’s story continue to multiply results. He compels action and interest around the world in ways that others cannot, meaning more children and families can have access to clean water sooner. We have the ability, now we need the collective will. Goals The Ryan's Well Foundation aims to inspire and encourage children, adults, schools, and service organizations to engage in activities that will develop funds for water and health-related projects in African countries and other developing nations. |

Lumen Veritatis - Streetsville
Based on the sublime commandment of Jesus Christ: “Be you therefore perfect as your Heavenly Father is perfect,”(Mt. 5:48) the mission of Lumen Veritatis Academy is to provide an educational atmosphere that fosters love and practise of the truths of the Holy Catholic Church. Our goal is sound academic formation in an ambience that cultivates respect for each person as a temple of the Holy Spirit and child of Mary Most Holy. Goodness, Truth, and Beauty which reflect God Himself are three qualities that the students will be encouraged to practise in their daily studies. In this call to perfection, students are encouraged to perform their daily work, whether in class or at play, in such a manner as to give the greatest glory to God and Our Lady. |

Journey to the Father
This exciting adventure in the Catholic faith is modelled closely on the Franciscan University of Steubenville High School Aged Conferences. Two main differences are the smaller size ( 500) which does create a more intimate atmosphere to the conference and o Canadian speakers.. The teachings are faithful to the Magisterium and try to present the beautiful teachings of the Catholic Church in ways that youth can understand and be drawn to. The program is a mix of dynamic talks, beautiful liturgies, great music, with enough social time and opportunity for sports to allow the youth to meet new friends and relax. There several young speakers and r youth, especially the Disciple Team, to witness during the weekend. The conference is being held July 13-15, 2007 at St. Raphaels, Ontario (between Ottawa and Montreal). It is proudly supported by the Catholic Diocese of Alexandria – Cornwall. |
